Staines to Windsor Line

The Windsor line branches away from the Reading to Waterloo line at Staines. Although the branch is mainly treed, there are photographic opportunities, particularly at Jubilee river bridge just outside Windsor and a foot crossing west of Sunnymeads station. The branch is operated by South Western Railway and the journey time from Windsor and Eton Riverside is around 55 minutes. Trains tend to operate two per hour in either direction with several stations being request stops only. SWR mainly deploy Class 450s, 458s and 707s on the route, although occasionally Class 455s are used, especially at weekends.
